Dog Sports

Dogsports are good for all dogs and their ownersThere are many different dogsport hobbies that you and your dog can do together and many reasons to get out there and try them:

1. Developing a very deep bond between handler and dog
2. Staying intentional about training in a way that is fun
3. Giving your dog a job that he is craving which will challenge him mentally and physically
4. Building your dog’s confidence
5. Enjoying the friendship of the other handler-dog teams at Tecla’s K-9 Academy

Tecla Walton’s training background is deeply rooted in dogsport activities and she has expanded Tecla’s K-9 Academy course offerings in order to share her love of dogsport with Tecla’s K-9 Academy’s clients.

Group Classes

Our program of classes boasts a hearty selection of dog sports including Rally, Nosework, and Agility. Tecla’s K-9 Academy instructors have developed our dog sport classes from a perspective of teaching excellent foundational skills while maintaining a fun atmosphere for handlers and their dogs to learn. Our clients enjoy this journey with their dogs and many have gone out to compete, often times surpassing their own expectations. We call this the TK9 Difference and we invite you and your dog to give it a try! Check out our upcoming classes…
